Alterations

Feather Pillow Restoration
- Feather pillows should be cleaned and restored at least once a year. The benefit of dry cleaning them versus washing them at home is that Mercury Cleaners extracts the feathers before giving them a germ-killing tumble in UV light. Pillows are then fluffed and given a new ticking. Not only will your pillows be germ free, but they will feel brand new—inside and out.
Suede, Leather, and Fur Cleaning
- Suede and leather are unique fabrics that require special care in order to preserve the texture. Both acquire stains easily and they can be difficult to remove without scuffing or scratching the surface. Due to the unique characteristics of suede and leather, we partner with specialty suede and leather cleaner, leatherrich.
Garment and Seasonal Fur Storage
- Mercury Cleaners has been offering storage of off-season garments in an environmentally-controlled space. Our seasonal storage service is used by many of our customers to preserve and protect their wardrobe in the off-season, or to help them manage their clothing inventory when they have limited storage or hanging space of their own. Our method of cleaning and storing your precious items in the off season is the only effective method to protect your clothing and fine fabrics from possible insect damage and stain oxidation.

It is extremely important to properly clean and store your furs in the off-season in order to maximize their useful life. for best results, all furs should be stored on hangers in a temperature and humidity controlled storage vault like ours.

Area Rug Cleaning
- Household rugs need regular cleaning, whether from stains or accumulating debris from being on the floor. Stains can soak deep into the fibers increasing the difficulty of removing them. Solvents are used to dissolve these stains and the rugs are then deodorized to restore them to their “like-new” condition.
Drapery Cleaning
- Household drapery requires periodic cleaning in order to remove dust, allergens and to preserve the fabric. Whatever fabric your drapery is made of, Mercury Cleaners will professionally and carefully treat them. All drapery will be pressed flat. We also provide re-pleating services.

Even if they do not require stain removal, it’s important to clean them regularly to remove dust and debris lodged in the threads. We use special care with lace, embroidery and other delicate fabrics. Also, consider Mercury Cleaners for your comforter and pillow care. Our down comforter and feather pillow service will effectively treat and disinfect the comforter and feathers and be put in new ticking.
Professional Shirt Laundry
- You’ve invested in your dress shirts. That’s why it’s important to treat them with special care. We gently launder our shirts, but are tough on stains. Not to mention, our technicians are specifically trained in stain removal. All dress shirts are pressed and buttons will be replaced before we hand or deliver them to you.
Wedding Dress Preservation
- Your wedding dress is a forever symbol of the best day of your life. We don’t take that lightly. At Mercury Cleaners, we are intent on cleaning and restoring your wedding dress to the way it was when you first fell in love with it. We carefully remove stains and preserve the color. We also specialize in servicing beaded gowns. We have partnered with specialty Wedding Gown Preservation Company whose sole job is to clean and preserve your gown in a vacuum-sealed box.
Flag Cleaning
- As flags are made to wave proudly outdoors, wear and tear is a common result. Road dirt, debris, salt and air pollutants are easily lodged in the flag’s threads. You can increase your flag’s longevity by regularly washing to remove debris which will defend the flag’s brightness and color. Mercury Cleaners is proud to offer this service free of charge for American flags.
Same-Day Service
- We know you can’t always plan ahead when you need dry cleaning or alterations. That’s why we offer same-day service where you can drop off your garment and pick it up the same day. You won’t have to stress in any last-minute situation such as a tear or stain on your shirt!
